Green Pastures Psalms 23 is more than a candle company — it is my redemption story, my saving grace, and a testimony of God's restoring power.
After suffering through seven long, tormenting years of anxiety, panic attacks, and depression, I had lost hope. But God met me in that place, restored me, and saved me from myself. He reminded me that my story wasn't over.
Then came a God moment through my daughter, D'Isjah. She planted the seed that would become Green Pastures Psalms 23 when she said, "Ma, you love smell goods and pretty things. You should make candles." The very next day, I was on it and popping.
What started as an idea became purpose. What became purpose became healing. And what became healing became a kingdom business with a message:
Inspired by Psalm 23 — "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures" — our name is a reminder that even in our darkest valleys, God can lead us to green pastures and restore our souls.

Getting the most from your candle

Let the first burn finish
Burn until the wax pools to the edge of the vessel — about two hours — so it never tunnels.

Trim the wick
Keep it at ¼ inch before each light for a clean, low flame with no soot.

Burn safely
Away from drafts, pets, and children. Never leave a lit candle unattended, and stop at ½ inch of wax.

Keep the vessel
Once the wick is spent, wash it out and give the glass a second life.
